Noodles and wontons reign supreme at Hon’s - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Hon’s Wun-Tun House has been fueling egg noodle enthusiasts since the ‘70s, and this tiny spot on Kearny shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It’s still a revolving door of neighborhood regulars and downtown office-goers in pursuit of midday noodle soup. If you’re short on time, each bowl of steaming savory broth takes approximately 30 seconds to arrive once you’ve ordered. And it takes even less time for you to pop back a few of the wrinkly wontons filled with juicy pork and shrimp. photo credit: Melissa Zink photo credit: Melissa Zink photo credit: Melissa Zink photo credit: Melissa Zink Food Rundown photo credit: Melissa Zink Green Onion Pancake These are textbook and one of our favorite versions in the city. They're dotted with scallions and thoroughly golden brown. If you want something fried with your lunch, there’s no better option. photo credit: Melissa Zink BBQ Pork Wun-Tun Noodle Soup The holy grail here. Our idea of a quality solo afternoon involves this bowl of steaming broth and egg noodles and nothing else. Pan Fried Potsticker Decent, but nothing you should plan a meal around." - Julia Chen
