"This steakhouse is a local go-to, but they’re happy to welcome tourists, too. La Buena Barra is a great place to go big—the tomahawk steaks and king crab legs are calling your name—but you can just as easily keep it cute with tacos al pastor, sliced tableside from the trompo, and escamoles. We humbly suggest a mix of both: start off with a couple soft shell crab tacos (their best seller) then move onto a ribeye with shrimp, brought to the table rare and finished to perfection with a flaming shot of 400 Conejos mezcal. The Hollywood-worthy dessert video menu they bring you on an iPad will make you forget that you’re full—we’re partial to the key lime pie, which is hard to find in Mexico, but the 24-layer chocolate cake is a close, close second." - Jenny Hart
