"Saperavi Social is one of our go-to restaurants for a cosy gathering. On our first visit to this Georgian spot, it was a drizzly Wednesday night, but the Highbury hangout was packed. Regulars discuss the merits of kharcho over satsivi with staff so amiable we’re pretty sure everyone reaches family friend status by a third visit. But it’s not just somewhere we’d like to hunker down with a bottle of rkatsiteli during a minor weather event. The food is fantastic too. The pkhali board, all spinach with vampire-defying levels of garlic and slightly sweet beetroot, is the best we’ve had. The chakapuli is clear and thin, but fragrant and tarragon-heavy, and the kharcho is more comforting than aBake Offwatch party." - Sinéad Cranna
