This Uptown restaurant, with a sun-soaked patio and movie theater-dark dining room, has an opulent touch: lobster tostadas, Akaushi wagyu fajitas with housemade tortillas, and the aforementioned plate of cheese they light on fire for you. There’s no shortage of solid Tex-Mex restaurants in Dallas, but Las Palmas’s fancier-than-usual menu rarely disappoints.
