"Despite looking like a minimalist furniture showroom and having a name that sounds like a conceptual art piece, Archives Of Us is a somewhat understated cafe wedged between apartment complexes in DTLA. The pastry case holds one item—canelés in different flavors, spaced evenly apart like they’re part of an installation. They’re crunchy on the outside, custardy in the center, and pair nicely with the excellent cream-topped drinks, which are delivered on trays with wet wipes and little cards explaining where the coffee or matcha was sourced. The spacious back patio is filled with black chairs, making it a great place to do some work and lounge, too. photo credit: Cathy Park" - Cathy Park
