A wasteland for a couple of decades after the Wall fell, the area was transformed into this public park between 2011 and 2013, making it one of the city’s newest. Its pristine, meticulously landscaped feel is indeed a whole different aesthetic for scruffy Berlin and has won it various prizes for urban planning and architecture.
