"Set within a beautifully restored, Grade 1 listed 16th-century merchant’s house on Newcastle’s historic quayside, I run a laid-back, family-run restaurant where my goal has always been to serve top-quality food without the trappings of traditional fine dining. We learned quickly that lunch services weren’t right for us, so we phased them out and moved to the tasting-menu format we serve today.
