The Zillers
"This was once the family home of German architect Ernst Zillers, who came to Athens to design some of the city’s public buildings, fell in love and then spent the rest of his life here. The building, situated next to the city’s Orthodox cathedral and converted into a hotel (Zillers Boutique Hotel), boasts a rooftop terrace and a multi-purpose Roof Garden with fine views of the cathedral and Acropolis. During the day it serves light meals and snacks; however, in the evening the space is transformed into the culinary realm of chef Pavlos Kiriakis, who offers two contemporary tasting menus on which he showcases his “creative philosophy that reinterprets high-quality ingredients and traditions in a contemporary way ”.
