Fleur de Sel

"It’s well worth travelling the 60-odd kilometres from the centre of Belgrade to get to this fascinating property serving fine cuisine and excellent wines. The restaurant is situated within the Atelje Vina Šapat winery and is surrounded by 12 hectares of vines planted with Merlot, Franconia, Cabernet Sauvignon and Teroldego red grape varieties, as well as Chardonnay, Moscato and Sauvignon Blanc (for the white wines). The dining room is elegant, classic and contemporary in style, with large windows that allow guests to enjoy extensive views of the peaceful Danube, the vineyards and the verdant countryside all around. Here, the talented chef Nikola Stojaković serves cuisine that is inspired by Serbian traditions and local ingredients, adding his own personalised creativity influenced by his many years working abroad. Guests can choose à la carte-style or from three tasting menus – we particularly recommend the interesting “From the Danube to the Adriatic” menu which features a selection of fresh- and saltwater fish. If you’re looking for a culinary experience that takes you closer to the kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work, then opt for the chef’s table. Finally, the wine list boasts 500 diverse labels with a truly international focus, although our obvious recommendation is to try the wines produced by the winery itself, guided by the passion and expertise of sommelier Dušan Vranić." - Michelin Inspector
