"This charming hotel and restaurant dating back to 1739 is, sadly, only open in winter. Joshua Leise, known from mural in Munich, serves up a well-devised creative modern menu. Three of the eight courses focus on regional fish/meat components, such as Alpine caviar, char from Oberlech and Bresse-Gauloise chicken from Styria. The small dining space has a minimalist black decor and an intimate atmosphere. There is an old oval oak table that accommodates up to eight diners, and the kitchen can be seen through a floor-to-ceiling window. The service is very good; the chefs themselves talk you through the dishes. The historical and romantic wine cellar is also worth seeing. Over 600 different wines are stored here – fans of Austrian white wines will be particularly pleased with the selection. Alternatively, you can eat at Mondschein's Alte Gaststube.
