"Duke's Bar, Heritage Hill Midtown. Duke's might have the coolest sign of all the Michigan Street bars here in Grand Rapids. Neon, zig zags, slab-serif, simple. It's the thing you'll notice first when you visit, glowing red and white. Unlike the other dives, Duke's occupies the authentic, gritty, smokey bar vibe. Not quite a sports bar, not quite a place you'll go just to eat, Duke's is the place you can go for 5 beers in a bucket that'll cost you $6 and a good chance you'll spot some tribal tattoos while you're there. You might see the occasional group of motorcycles splitting time between Duke's and the American Legion Hall across the street.At Duke's, the bartenders are cool, the jukebox is decent, and the beer is cold.
