Founded and managed by New Zealander Dean Williams and operating since 2009, it has purveyed superior local food and cocktails from an atmospheric lounge named after Russian artist Vladimir Tretchikoff’s painting. Originally tucked behind Pub Street, the venue relocated to Street 26 during the pandemic, a setting far more befitting its glamorous image; while promoted as a “taste of vintage Shanghai,” the atmosphere and offerings feel more Indochinese.
