"In Osaka’s Namba I found a cramped izakaya that specialises in yakiton (pork skewers) made from every part of the pig — think tongue and intestines — each skewer lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and offering a smoky, fatty flavour that lingers. The pork-obsessed spot also serves stews, including a pork belly bowl and a pork-bone chitterlings soup, and I washed it all down with a pint of Japanese draft beer. Staff were friendly but spoke limited English; luckily there was an English menu available." - SilverKris
