"Palazzo Artemide is Ortigia’s oldest hotel, reopened in 2024 after a careful update by VRetreats. Its location is hard to beat. It sits right beside the island’s magnificent Duomo, along the route of the ancient Via Sacra. The building’s long history is still present in its vaulted limestone halls and timeworn stonework. Rooms are understated, with parquet floors, velvet accents, and marble bathrooms.
