"The medieval fortified village of Biot stands in the middle distance; at its foot, outside the ramparts, is La Bastide de Biot, a 17-room boutique hotel that presents an alternative vision of life on the Côte d’Azur. The accommodations, spread across three distinct buildings, are unmistakably contemporary in aspect, and the lack of antique furniture does nothing to dull the appeal of the Mediterranean gardens outside.
