"Sure, the Moxy hotels are a Marriott sub-brand, but they’re as unique as any independent boutique hotel. Moxy Manchester City occupies the site of what was once a hat factory in the city-center Spinningsfield district, and while it retains a portion of the factory’s well-worn brick façade, it is for the most part a new build, a nine-story modern structure whose interiors present an idealized version of urban loft living. There’s another kind of nostalgia at work within; references to legendary local bands like Joy Division and the Smiths abound.
