"At the sprawling Curaçao Sea Aquarium we found a strong focus on regional aquatic life and the ocean’s importance to islanders, including an active coral-growing program visitors can learn about; the center also runs an extensive dolphin-experience program focused on therapy for autistic children with multiple private experience areas, and several dolphins swam up curiously as we walked by the outdoor lagoon. The highlight for us was the Ocean Lens experience—where visitors descend 17 feet by ladder into a pod with a spherical glass window—and we could have spent all afternoon staring into the crystal-clear Caribbean water watching myriad large fish swim past." - Paul J.
