"Launched by AutoCamp Hospitality Group as an upcycled-lodge concept opening in early 2023 in Moab, Utah, this affordable outdoor-focused hotel converts existing lodges and motels into basecamps. It will offer traditional king and double-queen rooms plus camper-van parking with communal bathrooms, showers, and Wi‑Fi, with introductory nightly rates starting around $159 for rooms and $49 for Van Life spots in nonpeak seasons. Rooms feature a minimalist Scandinavian design and photography by Cliford Mervil, plus bike racks and ample gear storage; select rooms install portaledges (hanging beds used by climbers) on the walls instead of cots. On-site services include a retail shop and rentals from brands like Outdoor Research and Black Diamond, guides for curated experiences (with AllTrails partnerships for DIY trail recommendations), and amenities such as a pool, firepits, an espresso bar, and a communal Gear + Beer gathering spot.
