"Not far from Tartine, in the heart of the glitzy part of the Mission, isCraftsman and Wolves, which offers a selection of standard-ish treats (croissants, kouign amann, cookies, mini cakes) and elaborate, mysterious confections. I got one of each group: a “stone”—a sesame praline base topped with passionfruit and vanilla cream—and a dark chocolate chip cookie—with picturesque ripples, caramel undertones, and just the right amount of salt.
