"Set between crescent-shaped white sandy bays facing the emerald waters of Costa Smeralda, this Michele Busiri Vici–designed 1960s hotel just opened its first season under Belmond, with Palomba Serafini refreshing the exteriors in a laid-back, coastal mood that honors local craftsmanship. The property has about 100 rooms and suites in the main building plus stand-alone villas with private pools; outdoor spaces are lush with bougainvillea, hydrangeas and herbs leading to a private sandy beach, two pools (salt and fresh), an open-air gym, a kid’s club and even a resident tortoise roaming the grounds. Culinary options include three restaurants, and I found the Sardinian fregula at beachfront Entú e Mari to be a must." - Nicky Swallow, Lucrezia Worthington
