"From chef Brian Lavin and partners, this coastal Mediterranean restaurant leans on Mid-Atlantic ingredients in a space that’s open and bright before sunset, then moody and romantic after dark. Start with the fluffy, nicely salted whipped ricotta, then the grilled Spanish rock octopus, tender within with a slightly charred, crispy exterior. Seafood entrées reflect “coastal cuisine” and are executed beautifully, but do not miss the pastas: the roasted apple and ricotta agnolotti with braised wild boar ragù and Parmigiano, and the lumache, a mushroom Bolognese with Swiss chard and Parmigiano, are both dreamy and linger long after the meal." - Simone Phillips
