"Bósforo is miles ahead of other mezcal bars in the city. It sources not just from Oaxaca but also from Michoacan, Guerrero, Puebla, San Luis Potosi, and other regions and producers that no one else is paying attention to. There’s also no pretense here, just affordable mezcal and a few snacks. There's no food to speak of, except for guava in fruit bowls scattered around the space. The restaurant next door serves interesting plates of traditional Mexican food with an emphasis on indigenous ingredients and of course, mezcal." - Scarlett Lindeman
