"About once a year, I have a strong craving for Philly cheesesteak. I happened to be along a central part of Melrose Avenue, where a branch of chain restaurant Philly’s Best has a colorful corner shop. The cheesesteak here is enormous, big enough for two to share, chock-full of properly chopped pieces of beef nestled into a plush Amoroso roll. I loved the meaty contrast of the mushrooms and the soft, sweet diced onions, but I wished the sandwich had a bit more cheese. That might've been on me because I requested provolone instead of Cheez Whiz; I'll request double the provolone next time. While I still prefer a Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich to the Philly cheesesteak, either of these classic American beef sandwiches provides the perfect weekend fuel for going out on the town." - Eater Staff
