"Helmed by Peruvian chefs Juan Manuel Umbert and Janice Buraschi, the Wynwood location brings their well-respected Lima pasta concept to Miami after they started a tiny restaurant in Lima with the goal of being the city’s best pasta spot. The menu blends Italian classics with Peruvian influences, from starters like housemade ’nduja bruschetta and oyster tempura with aji amarillo to pastas such as pici cacio e pepe and fettuccine with housemade ’nduja and mascarpone; standout dishes include agnolotti di funghi with 36-month-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano and pappardelle with a 15-hour braised beef cheek ragu. Desserts range from panna cotta al caffe to torta di pistachio di Bronte, and the gelato features lucuma and chirimoya flavors. The bar program highlights Italian wines and cocktails, emphasizing negronis and spritzes. Housed in a 2,400-square-foot space that seats 77, the restaurant centers on an open kitchen and blends rustic and modern elements—brick, wood, and metal—with a few counter seats for a front-row view and brown leather banquettes in the dining room. Pasta is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and is located at 124 NW 28th Street, Miami; reservations are available on Resy." - Olee Fowler
