"Join the parade of diners sporting khaki shorts and boat shoes at Macanda, one of the many Daniel del Prado restaurants across the Twin Cities metro. The ubiquitous marine attire is appropriate; Macanda is located steps from Lake Minnetonka in the western suburb of Wayzata. However, in terms of decor and dishes, the restaurant hews closer to the typical DDP vibe than to an East Coast nautical theme. Smoked mushroom tacos coexist with a tartare-style tuna tostada while a New York strip mingles with Mexican esquites. Potted plants, blond wood, and wicker populate the main restaurant area. But the most fun parts of Macanda are its other spaces: the HiFi record bar (open Thursdays through Saturdays) and the roughly 100-capacity covered patio that overlooks Wayzata Bay." - Cecilia Johnson
