"I learned that Public Market Emeryville plans to reconfigure its seating when it reopens: the owner sees “unique opportunities” because of the amount of indoor and outdoor space, and intends to remove some tables indoors while adding a significant number of outdoor seats (about 119, with the possibility of more if the city allows seating on an adjacent street). Indoors, they’re considering keeping some long communal tables but marking off where different groups may sit—potentially allowing, for example, a grandparent and grandkids to share a table while remaining at a safe distance." - Luke Tsai
