"After three-and-a-half years in Spring Valley, I watched Elia Authentic Greek Taverna close its Durango Drive restaurant and prepare to reopen on Friday, September 18, two miles north inside the former home of Chef Marc’s Trattoria. The new 2,527-square-foot corner space at Lakeside Village Plaza near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Durango Drive includes the option to create a future outdoor patio. Managed by Savvas Georgiadis and Alexandros Gkikas, Elia specializes in traditional Greek dishes and emphasizes a commitment to quality ingredients; in recent months it has offered takeout and reduced its nightly dinner service to 4 to 9 p.m., but it has not yet updated its future opening hours or revealed when its regular lunch program might return." - Bradley Martin
