"Opening Friday, October 6 at 2000 Belcourt Avenue in Hillsboro Village, I found Supper Club on Belcourt to be an American steakhouse with Memphis roots that leans into raw bar staples like oysters and butterfly shrimp alongside inventive seafood such as the Deep Sea Lobster Dawg (tempura-battered cold-water lobster tail with spicy mayo and sweet chili). The menu features hearty entrées like five-hour braised beef short ribs served over five-cheese creamy polenta and lobster mac and cheese, but the proteins steal the show — including a 40-ounce prime-grade bone-in tomahawk wrapped in edible 24-karat gold — with steakhouse sides and luxe protein add-ons. Executive chef Brandon Truesdale says his approach fuses flavors and techniques from his past experiences, and the drinks program focuses on whiskey-forward cocktails (for example, the Suit and Rye with bourbon and rye, fortified red wine, and Memphis BBQ house blend, and the tequila-forward Date Night with Espelette pepper, lychee, fresh lime, and mint).
