"New York-based brewing company Braven Brewing is bringing a brewery and restaurant to Bushwick. Braven team Marshall Thompson and Eric Feldman have signed a long-term lease brokered by M Properties Group for 52 Harrison Pl., between Morgan and Knickerbocker avenues. The 2,500-square-foot warehouse space currently holds Lantern Hall, which will soon vacate the space to make way for Braven Brewing Company. Braven first started in 2013 and currently only distributes beer within New York. Most bars in Bushwick carry the local brand, which includes an American IPA, a pilsner, a white IPA, and a black pale ale. In the new warehouse space, Braven will open a 60-seat restaurant along with its brewing operation in the back part of the building. The menu at the restaurant will fittingly be beer-centric, with takes on standard pub fare that incorporate beer as an ingredient as much as possible, Thompson says. Dishes will include beer cheese nachos and white IPA-marinated chicken bratwursts. He also says Braven plans to be the only restaurant in NYC serving DC’s signature half-smoke sausage, inspired by his and Feldman’s time living in DC. They’re currently still seeking a beer-educated chef to manifest this menu." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
