"The Southern Nevada Health Department shut down Bob Taylor’s Ranch House at 6250 Rio Vista St. after finding a multi-generational cockroach infestation on Aug, 28 at the oldest restaurant in Las Vegas. Inspectors found cockroaches in the prep area and on the cook line. The agency issued demerits for dirty and greasy walls, floor drains, floor mats, and equipment as well. Expired heavy cream, red meats turning brown, clean dishes and utensils stored in dirty areas, and food such as tomatoes, onions, and pasta held at unsafe temperatures. The restaurant reopened on Aug. 30 with a zero-demerit A grade." - Susan Stapleton
