"A low-key debut inside Boulevard Mall on Maryland Parkway—launched so quietly the mall landlord hadn’t yet added it to the tenant directory—this Central American–inspired, fine-dining steakhouse from executive chef Angel Lopez (whose resume includes Elio at Wynn Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace, and Sadelle’s at the Bellagio) focuses on thick, shareable cuts and theatrical, masculine decor. The interior is edged with broadswords, animal pelts, suits of armor and warmed by amber chandeliers and wall sconces, while a prominent front bar remains accessible from inside the mall. The menu pairs classic steakhouse offerings (including a 32-ounce $125 tomahawk steak intended for two, Delmonico, smoked New York, filet mignon, lamb chops and a rib-eye burger) with seafood and other mains such as branzino, skinned salmon, smoked halibut and pan-roasted chicken; appetizers spotlight Iberico ham, bone marrow, seared scallops and a Guatemalan-style chorilonga sausage. Cocktails lean theatrical as well—the bourbon-based King’s Elixir, the Prosecco-and-wildflower-honey Queen’s Nectar, and the Viking Punch served in an ox-horn drinking cup—while service operates daily in the evenings (open 5–11 p.m.)." - Bradley Martin
