"Owned by Vic “Vegas” Moea — a self-taught chef with multiple Food Network appearances and roles on Bar Rescue — and partner Rose Tummarello, this South Decatur Boulevard diner opened for takeout and delivery in November before expanding its dining room. The team persevered through the pandemic, keeping a six-person staff working, continuing construction, and providing free meals to health-care workers, first responders, and teachers for two months. The dining room was fitted with safety features such as plexiglass, spaced tables, taller booth backs, and extra cleaning, while takeout and delivery use safe-sealed packaging. The menu emphasizes all-day breakfast and burgers, with highlights like the Country-fried New York (a breaded, fried New York strip with house country gravy), a New York classic breakfast sandwich, French toast waffle, huevos taquitos, build-your-own omelets and a roster of Benedicts; dinner offerings include burgers, chicken sandwiches, liver and onions, a tuna sandwich and a patty melt. Several vegan options reinterpret egg and chicken dishes (plant-based egg riffs and a plant-based chicken Philly) and include a toasted Caprese, and the restaurant is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with online takeout and delivery available." - Susan Stapleton
