"I've seen the Aguirre family pop up with El Pincho Taco at breweries and farmers' markets across the Lowcountry since 2017, and their tacos live up to the hype — Yelp reviewers say they're the real deal. I ran into their stand at the James Island Town Market where they were doing 3 tacos for $10 with choices like asada, pollo chipotle, chorizo, pierna and a veggie option; I tried the asada, pollo chipotle, chorizo and pierna, and the asada was seasoned perfectly and so flavorful I seriously wanted to eat it every day. The corn tortillas tasted handmade and melted in my mouth. Look for their upcoming opening in the former Cortaditos space at 616 Meeting St., between sandwich spot Mozzo and laid-back bar Local 616." - Erin Perkins
