"After shutting down in 2020, the team that opened Mother in 2014 is bringing it back as Mother 2.0 at 2319 K Street in Midtown; the original vegetarian spot, founded by Mike and Lisa Thiemann and Ryan Donahue, earned rave reviews and a place on the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list in 2019. Chef Robb Venditti, who joined after time at Pangaea Bier Cafe and running his own catering company, is working to reopen with much of the same menu, including the restaurant’s specialty dinners and the chicken-fried oyster mushroom po’boy sandwich; the new location will open with beer and wine and hopes to add cocktails next year." - Dianne de Guzman
