"In Lowry’s Hangar 2 I found a throwback restaurant at 84 Rampart Way that opened as Officers Club, a joint project by chef Sterling Robinson (of Billy’s Inn, Ernie’s, and North County) and Joe Vostrejs of City Street Investors and Larimer Associates. Robinson says “we will not do anything pretentious”—you will not come in and see a handlebar mustache—and the space reads like suburban Mad Men, complete with a baby grand piano and a patio with room for a live band on weekends. The concept leans on officers’ clubs past, Midwest supper clubs, and Robinson’s time at Jimmy’s in Aspen, emphasizing generous portions, comfort dishes, and a communal setting alongside strong cocktails; menu highlights mentioned include steakhouse wines at a steal, the Big Boy Bacon Burger, and a dedicated bar menu with $12–$16 dinner specials aimed at a grown-up cocktail, a glass of wine, and a good date-night dinner. Officers Club opened serving dinner only (daily starting at 4 p.m.), with the bar open until midnight on weekends and happy hour nightly from 4–5 p.m. and 9 p.m. until closing; lunch, brunch, and to-go service are planned to be introduced throughout the summer after an initial two-week dinner-only period." - Josie Sexton
