Licht Café, D.C.’s Newest Gay Bar, Is a Cozy, Art-Filled U Street Hideaway | Eater DC

"Debuting on New Year’s Day in the building that formerly housed the iconic Velvet Lounge, Kiki is an LGBTQ-friendly venue at 915 U Street NW with two dance floors, a stage for weekly drag shows, and a bar program that goes heavy on Absolut vodka. Owner Keaton Fedak, formerly general manager at nearby gay bar Dirty Goose, will expand Kiki into the adjacent space that once housed dive Dodge City, creating a two-part project connected by a new beer garden scheduled for completion this spring; current hours are Thursday 5:30 p.m.–1 a.m., Friday 5:30 p.m.–3 a.m., Saturday 3 p.m.–3 a.m., and Sunday 3 p.m.–12 a.m." - Evan Caplan
