"After stops in Beverly Hills, New York City, San Francisco, and Chicago, I found this Wynwood pop-up offers a counter-service, nostalgia-forward experience with an emphasis on desserts; every ticket includes a reserved seat and a 90-minute dining window, a choice of entree, and (of course) cheesecake, with general admission starting at $39. The menu highlights Sophia’s lasagna al forno (available meat or vegan), the Lanai — a “Miami style” Cuban sandwich, Blanche’s Georgia-style cookie, the bacon lettuce potato sandwich, and the indulgent Spierheoven Krispies (a blend of strawberry cheesecake and chocolate ice cream). The space is built for photo-ops — the kitchen table, the Lanai, and the famous banana leaf wallpaper — the bar is decked out in Rusty Anchor Bar gear, and a walk-through Shady Pines leads to a pop-up store full of branded merchandise.
