"Shanghai-born bubble-tea brand founded in 2006 with more than 650 global locations (and only four high-profile U.S. outposts) is opening a fifth Chinatown counter-service shop. The upbeat concept specializes in “rock salted cheese” and lemon-forward beverages, promotes a menu stripped of preservatives and artificial additives, and emphasizes freshly made teas and coffees. Standout and unusual offerings include milk tea boba puff cream, mango matcha smoothies, a kumquat lemon slushy, and freshly squeezed lemon green tea. Following the lead of its New York, Boston, and San Francisco locations, the new store will open Friday, May 3, and run buy-one-get-one-free deals for the following two days. It occupies a roughly 1,660-square-foot space that formerly housed a dry cleaner and sits a few doors down from Nanay Gloria and TangTangTang in Chinatown." - Bradley Martin
