"Now open in Building 3 of the Marin Country Mart at 2257 Larkspur Landing Circle, Johnny Doughnuts — founded in 2012 by Craig Blum — has opened its third brick-and-mortar outpost after its first fixed location in downtown San Rafael and a Hayes Valley spot that opened last fall. The shop is known for custard-oozing bismarks, caramel apple fritters, and raised doughnuts made with a touch of fresh potato for extra bite; they also operate three roaming doughnut trucks (one of which even appeared in the film Roman J. Israel, Esq.). The new location currently operates 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with plans to expand to 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and beyond classic doughnuts offers pour-over coffee, a “crodough” similar to a cronut, and a seasonally appropriate pumpkin doughnut pudding." - Caleb Pershan
