"Momiji is a sushi restaurant on Capitol Hill where a disturbing incident occurred involving the use of racist language and physical altercation by the restaurant's general manager against a black woman. The incident led to the manager's termination and a public apology from the restaurant's owners. They have promised to institute racial bias training, provide free meals to the CHOP community, and initially attempted to donate money to organizations supporting the black community. However, the organizations refused the donations, calling for reparations to the victim instead." - Gabe Guarente
