"Opened on February 4, the outpost at 3210 East Bidwell Street, Suite 100, in the Shops at Folsom Ranch marks Tony Gemignani's first Slice House in Sacramento. Gemignani, a Fremont-born-and-raised pizzaolo who owns more than 30 restaurants including his legendary Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in North Beach, already runs franchised Slice Houses on Haight Street in San Francisco and in San Leandro; he says the slice houses "did really well and were almost COVID-proof." He plans additional openings in Sacramento proper, Elk Grove, and Roseville (no firm dates yet), and this move represents his first foray back to the area after a downtown Pizza Rock closed in July 2020." - Paolo Bicchieri
