"Located at 1350 Collins Avenue as a sister property to the former Versace Mansion, the project aims to be a Mediterranean oasis that transports guests away from the typical Miami Beach vibe. “When you cross this door, you won’t feel like you’re in Miami Beach,” says Jamil Dib, co-founder and owner of Vida & Estilo Hospitality Group. “We want you to feel like you’re at a beach club in Italy.” Chairman Joe Nakash frames the collaboration with Nakash Group as positioning the property as an ideal sister to the former Versace Mansion, emphasizing its "Neo-Mediterranean elegance and storied heritage" and the intent to make the on-site restaurant the heart of the project. Vida & Estilo brought in chef Alessandro Morrone, who drew on his upbringing in Napoli to create the menu; the team traveled to Italy to source key ingredients such as olive oil and mozzarella. Menu highlights named in planning include rigatoni nduja, linguini alla vongole, black truffle cacio e pepe, veal Milanese, hamachi crudo, Skull Island prawns, and more. On sourcing and pricing, Dib emphasizes quality and fairness: “We spent a year picking out these products,” he says, “But we want to be fair with the customers and the community to pay a fair price for the most amazing products. With all these massive restaurant openings, you can’t go to eat for less than $150 or $200 — we don’t want to do that.” Interiors and patio dining are described as timelessly Mediterranean, using natural textures, sand‑reminiscent colors, gold accents and a glittering chandelier to complement the southern coastal Italian cuisine; the space is slated to open in May." - Erin Perkins
