"Opened in August 2016 by Jose Navarro and Damian Altamirano — both with résumés that include Tableau at Wynn Las Vegas, Old Homestead at Caesars Palace and Triple George at the Downtown Grand — the casual but upgraded spot operated from 10890 S. Eastern Ave. (in the same retail center as Craft Kitchen) before shuttering in November. Operating under the motto “the burger was king, the beer was cold and they complemented one another,” it served substantial burgers made from certified Black Angus beef on buns from a local artisanal bakery; signature items included an Au Poivre topped with a brandy-three-peppercorn sauce and popular “taters,” notably a poutine finished with a brown foie gras gravy. The team is actively hunting for a new location (keeping “all options open,” including Henderson) and plans for the next space include homemade ice creams and shakes and a strengthened plant-based menu; its Yelp page has even announced a scheduled reopening on February 28." - Bradley Martin
