Muji Opens a Food Market in New York, Its First in America | Eater NY

"A new food market inside Chelsea Market has opened, serving onigiri, tamago egg sandwiches, curry bowls, dorayaki, pastries and other items, and building on shelf-stable snacks and pantry products that were recently added to the Chelsea shelves. It is the chain’s first food market in the U.S.; service began over the weekend and the market will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Specialty drinks such as a black sesame latte are available, prepared by the retailer’s robot barista Jarvis. The robot drew criticism when Jarvis first launched in New York last year, with critics noting it joined several new “soulless” cafés using robotics.
