"A hybrid private dog park and restaurant/bar concept planning a multi-location expansion into Denver (three sites targeted, with a focus on south Denver and possible future growth to Boulder, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs). The local franchisee, a hospitality-industry professional who recently moved from Dallas, says the idea responds to urban neighborhoods where many homes lack yards and where owners need a quick way to tire dogs out while socializing. Memberships (daily, monthly, or annual) grant access to staffed dog-play areas while patrons eat and drink. The menu at existing Texas locations emphasizes American comfort fare—burgers, fries, fried pickles, and a chicken sandwich topped with Szechuan peppercorn sauce—alongside frozen drinks, boozy and non-boozy milkshakes, wine, and beer. Canine offerings include bite-size hot dogs and “pupsicles” made with beef broth, peanut butter, and an edible bone. The concept originated in Dallas in 2013 and is already expanding elsewhere." - Paul Albani-Burgio
