"I visited the new State Fare Kitchen & Bar at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, which opened its third location on Monday, April 18. The 6,050-square-foot space overlooks Lake Woodlands and seats nearly 200 in the main dining area, with a large covered patio featuring a fire pit and fans to keep diners cool and a private dining room with lake views for up to 30 guests. The Southern comfort-food menu, similar to its Memorial City and Sugar Land locations, highlights fried green tomatoes; the signature dill pickle dip with barbecue chips; birria grilled cheese; funnel cakes; avocado street corn toast; H‑Town hot fried chicken; the secret-menu “brunch board”; and the XXL Buttermilk Griddlecake. Cocktails include colorful flights of frozen drinks and bloody marys, a smoked Old Fashioned, and an assortment of mocktails. Designed by Gensler Houston, the interior pairs sleek white decor with blue accents and natural woods and features the signature marquee “Good Vibes Only” sign overlooking the bar. It's open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday." - Brittany Britto Garley
