"I'm reporting that after closing its doors last year, Uptown Sushi is preparing to reopen with a brand-new look: an extensive renovation (including new signs and fancy new wallpaper) has been underway and the owners say they're currently waiting for final city inspections. The reopening, originally planned earlier in February, was pushed to February 18 after a planned inspection was delayed and could still be postponed, but photos show the space in progress. The remodel was meant to reconstruct the space rather than change the food, and a restaurant representative told Eater, “We didn’t change our menu much,” so diners can expect familiar offerings like stunning sashimi platters, sushi towers, rolls, nigiri, and more." - Amy McCarthy
