"Minus the rolling carts and steaming pots of tea, Only Ono BBQ offers dim sum to-go. There isn’t a single dud on chef Keith Apana’s menu, but standouts include juicy siu mai, chicken curry puffs, and what might be the crispiest, most decadent roast pork outside of China. The sweets are equally good, and you can always save your bolo bao (pineapple buns) and dan tats (custard tarts) for the following day’s breakfast if you gorge yourself on savory snacks. Look for the red tent at the Maui Sunday Market in Kahului or around the corner at the Maika‘i Market Thursday through Saturday. Either way, make sure to pre-order so you can skip the long line. Must-try dish: If there’s a Texas brisket special, nab it." - Shannon Wianecki
