"A nationwide smoothie chain teamed up with influencer group Dude Perfect to create a limited-time blue-spirulina shake that looks bright blue-green and tastes sweet. The five collaborators — longtime fans who worked with the brand’s R&D team in the test kitchen — used a tournament-style tasting process, discarding versions that turned unappetizing when strawberry was added and a chocolate take they felt was too basic, before landing on a blend of pineapples, bananas, kiwi-apple juice, a protein blend, vanilla frozen yogurt, turbinado sugar, and blue spirulina. The drink delivers 14 grams of protein, with banana, protein powder, and yogurt as the most prominent flavors, so it reads as a familiar chain-style smoothie rather than a radically new flavor experience.
