"Now open at 1908 West Superior Street in Lincoln Park, I found Duluth’s first all-local, mostly organic ice cream shop sources local ingredients and churns them into super small-batch ice creams. Nicole Wilde started the creamery in a shared commercial kitchen in Superior, selling scoops at farmers markets and small containers that were previously available only at a few area retailers or served a la mode at New Scenic Cafe. The shop is part of a development that includes neighboring Corktown Deli and Brews (from the owner of the Duluth Grill) and offers adventurous flavors like salted caramel, cardamom pepper, and goat cheese with roasted cherry; it will also serve pastries from nearby Duluth’s Best Bread and Duluth Coffee drinks, sits right across the street from OMC Smokehouse for a post-barbecue dessert, and is open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day this summer." - Joy Summers
